
"Emergency" Stress Management
Over the years, as a result of my interests in brain science, neurolinguistics and hypnosis, I have gathered together a smorgasbord of what I have come to call "emergency" stress management techniques, designed to be utilized to rapidly reduce or eliminate stress in the moment.
The best responses to stress are still to eliminate the stressor, and to have a regular relaxation/stress reduction regime, much like you would have an exercise regime. However, when stress is present, it is useful to have techniques at hand to quiet the system. I have taught these techniques to individuals, and in groups. They make great additions to your stress management arsenal, complementing daily relaxation practices such as self-hypnosis and meditation.
